Early Voting starts TOMORROW, October 26th, in New York – have you made your plan to vote?
In your Congressional District, CWA strongly recommends Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, because she has a proven track record of standing with working people.
✓ Jessica fights for working families, prioritizing public safety to strengthen our communities, and defending workers’ rights, and protecting our retirement.
✓ Jessica will fight to make NY more affordable by lowering taxes for working families, lowering healthcare costs, and fighting inflation by taking aim at the price gouging that’s hurting Americans.
✓ Jessica has made a difference for our communities. She helped put money back in working parent’s pockets by securing a historic $350 million for a supplemental child tax credit and prioritized public safety with funding for law enforcement and making assault of a retail worker a felony. She cares deeply about this community.
✓ Make sure to FLIP YOUR BALLOT and vote YES on Proposition 1: The Equal Rights Amendment! Proposition 1 would close loopholes in constitutional protections by prohibiting government discrimination based on a person’s ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex—including LGBT, pregnancy, and abortion rights. It will ensure no one can be discriminated against for who they are. CWA recommends voting YES.
Thank you to our election mobilizers, and thank you for being Union Strong! Over the past several weeks CWA members throughout New York have stepped up to make phonecalls, send text messages, write postcards, knock on doors, and more to talk to voters about pro-worker candidates up and down the ballot. Many people have reached out to express their appreciation for the work of our members – including Vice President Kamala Harris, who took time out from her campaign schedule to record a video thanking all the union members that have worked to get her elected. Watch it here!
Yesterday, JD Vance crossed a CWA picket line at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, proving that he cares about workers and union members about as much as his running mate Donald Trump – which is not much. Learn more here about Trump and Vance’s track records of not only being scabs, but encouraging the firing of striking workers.
