This holiday season – we are sending this GoFundMe appeal to support IUE-CWA Mersen manufacturing workers in Columbia, TN. These workers recently won their union and joined the IUE-CWA, only for the company to turn around and furlough 80% of its workforce and permanently lay off 25%—just weeks before Christmas.

These layoffs come after the workers bravely voted to unionize and fought for fair pay, safer conditions, and job security. Instead of honoring their commitments, Mersen—a company that partially funded its $70 million facility expansion with taxpayer dollars—has retaliated by cutting jobs and leaving families without paychecks or healthcare during the holidays.

We’ve launched a GoFundMe to support these workers and their families during this difficult time. Every dollar raised will go directly to helping them cover essential expenses like food, rent, and utilities.
